Bainville’s Wilson Receives Honor As Activities Director

Bainville’s activities director Tanya Wilson has been selected the Northeast Montana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association’s activities director of the year.

The award is voted on by former recipients of the honor.

“Tanya has worked super hard to build Bainville’s athletic programs,” Kara Triplett, former Lambert superintendent of schools and the MIAAA secretary, said. “She and her administrators have implemented positive programs, which emphasize the important character building that can result from young people involved in extracurriculars. She is responsible, positive and a hard worker.”

Wilson has served as Bainville’s activities director for the past 10 years.

“I really enjoy being able to watch our students start in the fourth grade and us providing the environment for them to be successful and then seeing them achieve success as they grow,” Wilson said.

Wilson has certainly been a hands-on activities director as she can be seen working on the chain gang during football games and handling the scorebook at basketball games.

“This award is well deserved, as Tanya also was our leader through the COVID restricted volleyball post-season, which was deemed a success and the footprint used for post-season tournaments this past winter,” Triplett said.

Tanya graduated from Bainville High School in 1999 where she was a standout athlete for the Bulldogs.

“I do have a lot of Bainville pride,” Wilson said.

Triplett added, “I am proud to call Tanya a colleague, as well as happy to mention we are both BHS alumni! Congratulations, Tanya, and keep up the good work.”
