Friede Sentenced For Witness Tampering

Christopher Michael Lee Friede was sentenced for witness tampering during a hearing in district court on Tuesday, May 25.

After Friede changed his plea to guilty on the charge, a pre-sentencing investigation took place.

During the sentencing hearing, Kailee Anderson of probation and parole discussed possible programs available at Pine Hills if Friede violates probation conditions. The plan is for Friede to live with his father in Chinook.

District judge David J. Cybulski approved the plea agreement of a five-year suspended sentence with the Department of Corrections. Friede was fined $1,000.

Friede was given credit for time served.

A charge of sexual intercourse without consent was dismissed.

Cybulski urged Friede to stay away from doing “stupid things.”
