Lustre’s boys’ track team earned third place in the team standings at the District 3C track meet held in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 15.

The Lions finished with 73 points. Scobey took first with 219 points and Hinsdale placed second with 136 points.

In the girls’ division, Whitewater took first with 131 points followed by Scobey with 120 and Saco with 100. Lustre Christian placed sixth with 42 points.

Jasiah Hambira, a sophomore, led the Lions by earning first in the triple jump at 39-08, second in the high jump at 5-10, second in the long jump at 18-05, second in the 400 at 53.39 and third in the 200 at 24.38.

Cayden Klatt, a freshman, finished second in the 800 at 2:23.26, third in the 1600 at 5:40.77 and third in the 3200 at 12:57.38.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Sean Uy, Klatt, Arun Ramnarace and Braeden Toavs finished second with a time of 51.90 seconds.

Toavs finished fifth in the 800 at 2:28.10 and fifth in the 200 at 23.38 seconds, Uy, a junior, finished sixth in the 200 with a time of 27.60 seconds.

In the girls’ division, Tiara Whitmus enjoyed a standout performance. The senior earned top honors in the discus with a personal best of 110-03. She placed second in the shot put at 33-09 and fifth in the javelin at 95-09.

Alexa Reddig, a freshman, earned third place in the long jump with a best of 13-10. She finished third in the 300-meter hurdles at 53.11 seconds, fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 19-0 seconds, fourth in the 200 at 30.01 seconds and fifth in the 100 in 14.17 seconds.

Aubri Holzrichter, a freshman, took sixth in the 400 at 1:14.54 and sixth in the 800 at 2:54.21.
