Trustees Approve Fiber Cable Project

The Wolf Point School board has made a decision that should delight Wolves’ football fans throughout the nation.

During the special meeting on Tuesday, April 27, trustees approved bids for a fiber cable project to the track/football field’s crow nest for wifi capabilities.

Wolf Point High School principal Kim Hanks explained the addition will allow for Wolf Point’s football games to be broadcasted on the National Federation of High Schools network.

“Football and track will be able to be on NFHS, as well as activities in the gym,” Hanks said.

Trustees approved bids from Net-Diverse, Salt Lake City, of $12,632 for products, services, installation, and Mr. Wire Electric, Wolf Point, of $4,499 for trenching and conduit.

Watching high school games through NFHS became very popular this school year due to COVID social distancing regulations.

Hanks said the improvements will help with cameras on the track for upcoming meets.
