Poplar School Board Hires Staff

Non-tenured teaching staff were hired at the Poplar School District board meeting March 27. The vote was unanimous.

The following teachers were approved for hire with the elementary, middle school and high school: Shannon Murphy, Rayna Schultes, Jessie Colon, Veronica Caparas, Suzette Pinili, John Seeb, Chad Strissell, Jacob Turcotte, Carroll DeCotoeau, Laura Lake, Deirdre Schwartz, Melanie Ferguson, Steven Schwartz, David Noles, Emily Murphy, Steven Murphy, Krissy Parker, Linda McCabe, John Wetsit, Jackie Muhs, Marha Watts, Heather Brown, Fazal Hassan, Donald Miller, Ted Fulgham, Taylor Treasure and Evan Cummins.

The following teachers were denoted as gaining tenure: Shannon Murphy, John Seeb, Chad Strissell, Jacob Turcotte, Carroll DeCoteau and Laura Lake.

No public comment was offered at the meeting, which adjourned at 6:36 p.m.

A work session was held following the meeting. Agenda items included teaching and learning planning, health and wellness planning and operations planning.
