Wolf Point students took in a great meal and excellent advice during the 2021 junior/ senior banquet held at the high school on Thursday, March 18.

Teacher Tressa Welch served as the event’s guest speaker. She urged students to not be afraid to try new things as they continue their education and lives.

“You can try as many things as you want, It’s OK to go at your own pace,” Welch said.

She noted individuals can learn lessons and gain knowledge through failures.

“Everything I’ve done, I never got right the first time,” Welch said. “

She explained that you don’t know what you can achieve unless if you try. She encouraged students to see positives rather than negatives even though sometimes life doesn’t seem fair.

Welch told the students to train their minds to have good attitudes and that their goals are worth fighting for.

The night included a lasagna dinner with mini gourmet cakes as dessert. Members of the sophomore class served the meal.

The junior prom committee consists of Hamyanie Cammpbell, Josie Kolstad, Ethan Blount, Claire Kinzie, Ben Boysum and Haidyn Raining Bird.
