Gianforte Pleased With Health Improvements
Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte commended the progress that the state is making fighting the COVID pandemic during a press conference on Thursday, Feb. 25.
He said that Montana has recorded back-to-back weeks of less than 200 new cases in the state.
“We’re making great progress in combating the pandemic,” Gianforte told reporters.
The governor added that hospitalizations in the state have remained under 100 in each of the two weeks.
“As we continue to get shots in arms, I’m confident that trend will continue,” Gianforte said. He added that Montana ranks first in the nation at 93 percent for using doses received.
He took time to thank volunteers who have stepped up to make delivering more vaccinations possible.
Gianforte said the state still also faces a continued economic pandemic. The Republican said the Montana Senate recently passed two “comeback” bills that will bring Montana more competitive and bring more businesses to the state.
