Jeffrey Low Dog Sr., Cinjá Ušíya, “Poor Calf,” 60, died Feb. 18, 2021, at Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings.

He was born Jan. 20, 1961, in Wolf Point to Joseph Low Dog Sr. and Yvonne Shields.

In his younger years, he went on the Mormon placement program in Longview, Wash. He received his GED at Kicking Horse Job Corps in Ronan.

He worked at the Saddlery Shop in Wolf Point for many years. He loved making boots, wallets, belts and saddles. Along with working there, he also worked at the Cowboy Palace for Gene Martin. He helped brand cows and horses. There was a few times he was asked to help break horses too.

He met Anita Iron Cloud around 1987 and, from this relationship, they had Alaric, Arienne and Jeffrey Low Dog Jr. He later met Rebecca “Becky” Archdale and they married in 2003. They spent many years happily married until her death in 2014.

He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved to visit and laugh. He loved playing card games, pool and jamming out on jukebox. He enjoyed doing outdoor things like hunting and fishing. He enjoyed going for evening cruises.

He is survived by his three sons, Avery Boe, Alaric Low Dog and Jeffrey Low Dog Jr.; nine grandchildren; sisters, Patti Low Dog, Carol Low Dog, Jewel Low Dog and Kristen “Krissy” Low Dog; and brother, Joe “Beezer” Low Dog.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Low Dog and Tamera Low Dog; and children, Brandon Low Dog, Jeremy Low Dog and Arienne Low Dog.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, attendance is limited to 30 individuals. Masks are required. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
