Francine Lynette Iceman, 49, of Poplar died Feb. 13, 2021.

She was born in Poplar on Jan. 19, 1972, to Frances Nation and Leslie “Sandy” Grainger. She grew up and attended schools in Poplar and many other various places. Throughout her school years, she participated in cheerleading and volleyball. She decided not to finish school and got her GED.

She worked many jobs as a teen and a young adult such as cleaning bars, A& S Industries and wildland firefighter, where she eventually found her calling was a CNA at the Poplar Community Hospital where she worked for over 20 years.

She enjoyed staying home, being with her family and friends, cruising, fishing and being with her animals. She could always tell a good story and forever had people laughing.

She is survived by sons, Francis “Chips” Grainger, Rodell Loegering and Riley Loegering; a grandson; mother, Frances Nation; siblings, Donald Iceman, Lloyd Iceman and Ramona Iceman; and spouse (of nearly of 20 years) Emery Lester.

Francine was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Ann Iceman.

A viewing will be held from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at the Poplar City Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, attendance is limited to 30 individuals. Masks are required.
