Sarah Lu “Sissy” Three Stars, 54, of Poplar died Feb. 8, 2021, at Poplar Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1966, to Hazel (Lester) and Harry Three Stars and was the baby of the family. She attended Poplar Schools and graduated in 1985. She enjoyed playing basketball and other activities.

She met Orlando Moses Young Sr. and, from this union, they had two sons, Orlando Jr. and Mycel Young. After Orlando Sr.’s death, she met Trevor Vondall and, from this union, they had a daughter Ashley Vondall. She later met J.D. Bergie Sr.. They married, but later divorced and remained friends.

She worked for A& S Industries from 1989 to 1993 when they were in the process of closing their doors. She spent her time raising her children and enjoying life to the fullest. She started work for the Fort Peck Tribes in 2006 in the minerals department where she worked until 2018 when she quit to take care of her three grandchildren.

She was a kind hearted, giving woman. Whenever she’d pass by the body shop across from Tande’s, she’d stop and give whoever was standing there food and what change she had. She was quiet, but when she got angry, she could raise the roof off a house. She loved to be with her family and friends, always laughing and smiling.

She is survived by her son, Mycel Young; daughter, Ashley Vondall; three grandchildren; sisters, Kathy and Mary Lu Azure; and brothers, Roy Azure and Harry Three Stars Jr.

She was also preceded in death by son, Orlando Jr.

A wake will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
