Poplar Wrestlers Earn Victories

Poplar’s wrestlers competed against Forysth, Colstrip and Circle during action in Circle on Saturday, Jan. 9.

“We wrestled tough down in Circle,” Poplar coach Jason Frederick said.

Jazmin Gorder at 120, Wayne Dupree at 138, Logan Boadle at 160 and Jacob Berger at heavyweight each went 2-0 and remained undefeated. Logan Young, Jase Frederick, Mitchell Youngman, Kameron Reum, Gage Berg and Marcus Genia suffered their first losses of the season and had 1-1 records.

Earning their first wins of the season were Aries White Tail Feather and Cameron Spotted Bird.

“Madison Dehner, Nissa Genia and Leal Reddog continue to gain valuable experience on the mat,” Coach Frederick said. “We look forward to getting two seniors back this week in Kaelen Smith and Tyler Pribbernow.”
