Alex Falcon


Alex John Falcon, 49, of Poplar died Nov. 17, 2020.
He was born Feb. 4, 1971, to Edwin L. Falcon and Elsie (Feather Earring) King in Poplar, where he was raised. He graduated from Poplar High School in 1989.
After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
He married Melanie Alverez and, together, they had his only child, Austin Falcon. They separated, but remained friends.
He worked at various jobs in California, Nevada and Montana. He went to school for air conditioning repair.
His past enjoyments included working on cars, car shows and woodcarving. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and playing pranks.
He is survived by his father, Eddie Falcon of Trenton, N.D.; son, Austin; sisters, Lynn, Anita “Squeak” Lee of Fairview, Joni Zaste of Trenton, N.D., and Judy; brothers, Ed “Chowie” of Williston, N.D., and Ford; step-brother, Rod King; and numerous grandchildren.
Alex was preceded in death by stepfather, Jim King; brothers, Kevin, Daniel and Lawrence; and grandson, Karsen.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 30, at Makaicu Presbyterian Church in Riverside. Interment was at Riverside Presbyterian Cemetery in Riverside. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel assisted with the arrangements.
