Plans For Holiday Season In The Works

The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is planning its annual Christmas Stroll activity for Saturday, Dec. 5.

Safety measures are urged to be taken, but organizers are hopeful everybody can still have a great time at the traditional event.

“I’m willing to put displays up, so people can see them,” Aaron Kurokawa said during the chamber meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Opportunity Bank will offer s’mores again and the plan is for the Lions Club to provide chili. Sherman Inn will serve hot chocolate.

Activities will begin at about 3 or 4 p.m. that day.

One question mark regards the presence of Santa. Thoughts included Santa walking through Sherman Park or for him to be located in the gazebo.

Chamber board members at the meeting agreed to ask Julie D’Ambrosio to do some work remotely. She resigned from the executive director position this fall.

“I think we should continue looking for a long-term person though,” board member Jerald Petersen said.

There was some discussion whether to keep renting the Chamber office without an executive director. It was agreed to keep the office at least for now.

The chamber did receive $4,524 through the state’s CARES program’s social services non-profit grant. The money for items such as payroll, rent and utilities.
