Pedestrian Killed By Train March 27

A Wolf Point man was killed Friday, March 27, by a passing train at approximately midnight.

According to Wolf Point Police Chief Jeff Harada, officers responded to the area near the Amtrak depot in Wolf Point at 11:58 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a train.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice arrived to assist.

Officers located the deceased male and notified next of kin. The man was identified as 20-year-old James Jackson Jr.

The investigation was turned over to the Fort Peck Tribes criminal investigators.
