MonDak Ag Days Happening This Week In Sidney

The MonDak Ag Days is certainly a great attraction throughout our region. The 2020 MonDak Ag Days and Trade Show takes place this Thursday and Friday, March 12-13, at the Richland County Fair Event Center.

The trade show is attracting more than 40 businesses and organizations throughout our area this year. You can visit with representatives of local businesses such as Tri-County Implement, Action Auto, Sidney Health Center or Gem City Motors, or from a wide variety of businesses from our surrounding region. It can be a very informative experience and a fun time.

Hours for the trade show are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

Richland County Extension agent Tim Fine has done a great job of organizing programs for both days. The programs begin at 8 a.m. on each day. A young farmers/ ranchers panel starts at 2 p.m. Thursday. There will be excellent information shared on Friday when MSU Extension’s Marsha Goetting and Ron Hanson, formerly of the University of Nebraska, provide insight on estate planning and other financial topics.

The highlight of Ag Days comes at 6 p.m. on Friday when the banquet featuring the Peterson Farm Brothers occurs at the event center. The brothers are from Kansas where their family lives the farm life. They are known for their entertaining and educational videos they put up on YouTube, farming posts and updates on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Educating and informing the public about farming and agriculture is a passion for the group.

The brother’s video I’m Farming and I Know It, a parody of LMFAO’s I’m Sexy and I Know It, went viral and had more than 6 million views in just two weeks. The Peterson Farm Brothers not only promote farming and agriculture to the online audience, they’ve been traveling the country sharing their knowledge and spreading the word.

Tickets for the banquet are available at the Sidney Chamber office, Stockman Bank, Tri-County Implement, Richland County Extension or www.sidneymt. com. Tickets will be available at the door by going to Stockman Bank’s booth.
