Culbertson School Hosts Science Fair

Winners From Grades 5-8 Advance To Regionals

Culbertson School students tested their science skills with their entries into the Culbertson School science fair, held Feb. 13.

Culbertson Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Amy Berwick told the Community News that 110 students in grades kindergarten through eight participated in the Culbertson School science fair, which was held Thursday, Feb. 13.

Forty-one students received blue ribbons.

Winners from grades five through eight qualified to participate in the regional science fair, which will be held in Malta Tuesday, March 17.

Students with the highest scores in their grade received a medal. Those winners included Arlie Purvis, fourth grade; Harrison Green, fifth grade; Kaylee Kohl, sixth grade; Leah Knudsen and Trevor Miller, seventh grade, tied) and Mathew Wadsworth, eighth grade.

“Congratulations to all the kids that participated,” said Berwick, “and thank you to all the community members that volunteered their time as judges.”
