Bulls Open Baseball Season With Victory

The Froid Bulls opened their American Legion baseball season by splitting games against the Miles City Outlaws on Sunday, April 23.

The Bulls will host the Billings Upper Deck Expos on Sunday, May 7, with games at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Miles City Outlaws will play in Froid on Saturday, May 13, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Froid downed the Outlaws, 7-6, in the first game of a double- header on April 23. The Bulls gained a 5-1 lead with five runs in the top of the third inning. Scoring in the frame were Brooks Solem, Khye Gamas, Henry Kukowski, Preston Swenson and Connor Hudyma.

Aiden Leibrand and Solem crossed the plate in the fourth to put the margin at 7-3.

Kukowski was the game’s winning pitcher.

Connecting for hits to lead the Bulls were Gamas, Kukowski, Swenson, Cooper King and Solem.
