{"id":44765,"date":"2022-07-28T05:00:10","date_gmt":"2022-07-28T11:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-northernplainsindependent-com-uswp*.sitenm.com\/?p=44765?destination=northern-plains-independent"},"modified":"2022-07-28T05:00:49","modified_gmt":"2025-01-13T05:00:49","slug":"robert-bawden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernplainsindependent.com\/2022\/07\/28\/robert-bawden\/?destination=northern-plains-independent","title":{"rendered":"Robert Bawden"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> Robert \u2018Bob\u2019 Bawden was born Nov. 8, 1956, in Billings, Mont., to John and Joan &apos;Jo&apos; Bawden and passed away peacefully at home in Culbertson,  Mont., on June 15, 2022, at age 65.<br \/>\n\t  Bob joined the Navy after  graduating from Senior High in Billings in 1975 and was trained as a medic. He was an original plank owner of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower  carrier and spent four years in the Navy before being  honorably discharged.<br \/>\n\t  He then worked at Billings  Deaconess as a surgical tech. Later, he attended EMC in Billings and obtained a degree in human services, which allowed him to work with at-risk youth.<br \/>\n\t  In 1990, he married Elaine (Hoye) Bawden and they had two children, Hannah and Joseph. <\/p>\n<p>\t He took great pride in being the primary caretaker of the home, among his many other roles. He loved food and cooking, a joy which he shared with his kids.<br \/>\n\t  Bob was always reading, averaging  3-4 books per week.<br \/>\n\t  He is survived by his wife and his two children. He is also survived by siblings, Jack (Patti Nelson) Bawden, Kay (Dale) Grosulak, Julie (Scott) Slotsve and Mary Jo (Bruce) Zwang; three nieces; and two nephews.<br \/>\n\t  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bette.<br \/>\n\t  No services were held per his request.
