He was very active  with the community as a member of the Optimist Club and the American Legion.  He was also a member of the Wolf Point Assembly of God church and served with Gideons International for many years.<br \/>\n\t  He was a veteran of the US. .Air Force, where he served as a mechanic.<br \/>\n\t  He is survived by his wife of nearly 31 years, Lovella  Landsrud of Wolf Point; one son, Kenneth Landsrud of Wolf Point; three daughters,  Connie Doornek of Livingston, Karen Samuels of Marysville, Wash., and Cynthia Landsrud of Edmonds,  Wash.; three stepchildren,  Lyndell Cooper of Linn, Mo., Regina Cooper of Springfield, Mo., and Waylan Cooper of Russellville, Ark.; two sisters, Wilma Weaver  of Nacogdoches, Texas,  and Dorothy Tucker of Townsend; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.<br \/>\n\t  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl  Conaway; two brothers, Gaylord Landsrud and Kermit  Landsrud; three sisters, Florence Luecke, Alice Madsen  and Viola Russell; and a grandson, Noah Landsrud.<br \/>\n\t  A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, at the Clayton Stevenson  Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Assembly of God church in Wolf Point. Interment  will follow at Greenwood  Cemetery.
