He attended the Rocky Boy Celebration  at two days old and, from then on, was meant for the outdoors.<br \/>\n\t  He attended school in Wolf Point from kindergarten to sixth grade, then transferred out to Frontier Elementary School. He graduated from Wolf Point High School in 2008. While in school, he participated in Wolves\u2019 basketball  and cross country. He enjoyed the few years he got to play with his older brother  Joe and even attended the state tournament in Great Falls one year with the Wolf Point Wolves.<br \/>\n\t  He attended Dawson Community  college where he got to experience life on his own for the first time with three friends.<br \/>\n\t  Shortly after returning home from college, he welcomed  a daughter, Leighton.<br \/>\n\t  He lived in Billings for a stint where he worked as a cook at second shift at St. Johns Lutheran Home and at Famous Dave\u2019s. He also worked in flooring and concrete. Over the years, he worked at MD\u2019s, Cenex West, Just Dine It, Wolf Point Schools, the Elks Club and Cattlemen\u2019s Cut. He had a true talent in the kitchen and took great joy in feeding people.<br \/>\n\t  He was an avid Yankees fan who loved anything baseball. He enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors, such as grilling on the Blackstone, camping and fishing with his baby brother, Parker.<br \/>\n\t  Music was a large part of his life and will continue to bring family and friends joy when they hear the tunes of Led Zepplin, AC\/DC, Pink Floyd and Lynard Skynard. He was a true old soul and he taught himself how to play Stairway to Heaven.<br \/>\n\t He was a silly goose and always  liked to tease and joke when he was younger.<br \/>\n\t  He is survived by his daughter, Leighton Loverty Rose Raining Bird; moms, Clara Raining Bird and Ona Windchief; dad, Chris Windchief;  sisters, Lacey Johnston, Secret Johnston and Marit Windchief Gibbs; and brothers,  Parker Johnston and Wayne Johnston.<br \/>\n\t  He was preceded in death by His Father, Philip Johnston;  and brother, Joseph Johnston.<br \/>\n\t  His funeral service was held at at the Freida Fourstar Community Center in Frazer on Saturday, March 21.
