Red Hawks Score Overtime League Victory Over Circle
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored nine points in overtime to capture a 62-55 conference victory in Circle on Saturday, Jan. 7.
After a 29-29 deadlock at the half, the Red Hawks gained a 42-39 advantage in the third quarter. Mason Dethman and Landon Kelm each connected for three-pointers in the quarter.
Regulation ended at 53-53. The Red Hawks held Circle to two points in the extra period. Dethman accounted for six of Froid/Lakeâs nine points. Nate Stentoft hit three free throws.
Dethman finished the game with 29 points. Patton Bighorn also reached double figures with 14 points including four three-pointers.
Others scoring for the Red Hawks were L. Kelm with eight, Max Engelke with four, Caden Kelm with four and Stentoft with three.
Beau Beery led the Wildcats with 19 points.
Jace Curtiss and Owen Beery added nine points each. Arley Idland scored eight points.
Froid/Lakeâs girls lost by a 61-39 final in Circle.
The Red Hawks fell behind 17-3 in the first quarter and 30-10 at the half.
The Red Hawks will host Savage on Friday, Jan. 13, and travel to Richey/Lambert on Saturday, Jan. 14.
