Tax Return. Depending on the result of the calculations your credit could range from $0 to $1,150. Only one claim is allowed per household. If you do not need to file a Montana income tax return other than to claim the credit, you only need to complete certain parts of Form 2. Otherwise, the Department of Revenue will not be able to process your claim.

Use Form 2, page 10 to see if you are eligible for the credit and how much you may receive. Complete the Elderly Homeowner/Renter Credit Schedule and the Long-Term Care Facility Rent Calculation Worksheet if applicable: https://mtrevenue.gov/ publications/montana-individual- income-tax-return- form-2/.
