The Froid/Lake Red Hawks overcame a strong first quarter by Bainville and were able to edge the Bulldogs, 40-32, in a defensive battle on Saturday, Jan. 6. The Bulldogs earned a 17-3 lead in the first quarter as a triangle-and-two defense frustrated the Red Hawks throughout the period. The scoring of Charles Butikofer led the Bulldogs to a 6-2 lead and then Alex Strickland connected on a three-pointer.

In a battle of District 2C girls’ squads, Bainville fought off Froid/Lake by a 46-31 final on Saturday, Jan. 6. Bainville Girls Down Wildcats


A strong second quarter led Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad over Plentywood by a 39-30 final on Friday, Jan. 5. After leading by an 8-4 margin at the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Plentywood 16-2 in the second quarter for a 24-6 advantage.
